COMPACT FLOURSCENT LIGHT BULBS (CFL's)
Many hardware supply stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, ACE Hardware) and other retailers offer in-store recycling. Make sure you check directly with the store before you go; not all stores in regional or nationwide chains may be equipped to recycle.
ELECTRONICS
Many large electronics retail chain stores, like Best Buy, Circuit City, OfficeMax and Office Depot sponsor free, in-store collection events. In some cases, these occur sporadically, but in most cases, you can simply drop off an old electronic (inside the store!). A few retailers may charge a fee or accept only certain types or brands of equipment. Make sure you check directly with the store before you go; not all stores in regional or nationwide chains may be equipped to recycle.
AEP Ohio’s Appliance Recycling Program offers a free service to professionally remove old, working refrigerators and freezers from customers’ homes and provides a $50 customer incentive for each unit collected.View their flyer.

MEDICINES
Through a grant issued by the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI), the Morrow County Sheriff's Office received a prescription drug drop box which is now located in the lobby of the Morrow County Sheriff's Office (101 Home Road, Mt. Gilead, Ohio 43338).
Citizens may dispose of unwanted or unused prescription medications by placing the drugs in the drop box. All medications must be in a container (plastic pill bottle, plastic bag, etc) before being placed in the drop box. The drop box is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No forms are required to be completed. NO LIQUIDS OR NEEDLES WILL BE ACCEPTED. The drop box is also sponsored by Endo Pharmaceuticals.
